The final set of photographs are from various moments of the day and night. I even got in some practice with a 50mm lens for portrait type shots. They were a bit hit and miss, mainly miss, but a few cool ones snuck in.

Heather was a BIG fan of this song when we were little, so Jemma and I arranged for the DJ to play the song and let her win a tshirt, she ruddy loved it.

Almost Framous

Heather had spent months looking for various props that she would like to feature in her wedding photographs, 'The Frame' being the one idea that really stuck with her. After a few false starts looking for the best location to use the frame, I found the perfect spot to use it. The idea behind this, was to create a photographic guest book of sorts, featuring everyone that came to the wedding.

I managed to persuade John to pose for a few more, then he had had enough for the day, so legged it and Heather stayed for quite a few more... hehe

Some people loved the frame idea

Some people were willing, but slightly bemused

and some wouldn't bloody be photographed at all

Confetti Shot

Heathers lovely friends Sue and Dave provided the bridesmaids with some lovely rose petals, that would work perfectly for a intimate confetti shot up at Loch Morlich.

Wedding Cake, food, tables and favours

John's dad toasted the cutting of the cake

Heather and John had not one, but two cakes! Heather's Uncle Andrew and Auntie Adele provided the second cake, which was topped with a wee Heather and John..

The wedding favours were Teacups for the ladies and Whisky for the gentlemen

Heather's good friend Pauline made little wee bags for the teacups, thanks Pauline!

The Best Man - David

John's good friend David was the Best Man, he did a great job of keeping John calm when Heather was running a wee bit late... Although I think he cried more than anyone else during the service, how sweet.

The Best Friends- Heather and Emma

Heather's Matron of Honour was her best friend Emma, they have been friends for years. It all started when Heather took it upon herself to adopt Emma in school. This was because Emma started their school late and needed friends fast. Their friendship grew over Peter Andre and annoying Heather's older sister (Me). They also share a love of camera hogging, which they have been doing since they could utter the word 'cheese'.

So they were, of course, great to photograph together on Heather's big day! In fact, I think John was relieved to get a break whilst these two took over for a bit.

See the world together

Taking the photographs for my sisters wedding was certainly a challenge, stretching my limited photography skills to the maximum. It was a pleasure to do though, seeing my little sister happy and married to someone that truly loves her is the nicest thing in the world.

Finishing this the website for their photographs may be the end of my part in the wedding day, but it is just the begining of their lovely life together and I truly hope they are happy forever*.

*Or I will kill them, because it took me bloody ages to do these photographs

Loch Morlich

Loch Morlich was the beautiful setting for the close family shots, Heather and John shots and the bridesmaid shots. The weather was wonderful and you couldn't have asked for more lovely backdrop. Heather had put a lot of effort into scouting out a perfect location for these photographs and she certainly did well!
